"Yandex" to Launch AI Assistants for Teachers and Lecturers

Free educational tools will operate based on the YandexGPT family model

The "Yandex Education" team has announced the launch of free educational tools created based on the YandexGPT family model. The new line of AI assistants will help teachers and lecturers prepare educational materials, quickly assess students' knowledge, and check whether they used neural networks when writing assignments.

The "Neuro Quizzes" tool is a way to create assessment tests in a matter of minutes. All that needs to be done is to upload educational materials to the platform, and the neural network will independently generate questions and answer options, including correct and incorrect ones.

For evaluating essays, reports, and other written works, specialists have developed "Neuro Detector." This tool analyzes the text and is able to determine how unique it is, as well as establish whether it was created by a human or with the help of a neural network.

This tool allows teachers to find works that are highly likely to have been created by artificial intelligence. It is important to note that the results of the "Neuro Detector" are only a recommendation for the teacher, drawing his attention to those works that require special attention.

Both AI assistants are available in the personal account on the "Yandex Education" website.

The third tool is an AI assistant for computer science teachers in "Yandex Textbook." It is designed to facilitate the learning process and help teachers create a lesson plan and select practical tasks for each student.

The AI assistant offers the teacher effective ways to explain terms and abstract concepts in an accessible language so that students can more easily understand the new topic. In addition, it can help with checking homework by analyzing the student's code, pointing out errors, and analyzing the solution.

For communication with the AI assistant, special chatbots with ready-made requests are available in the teacher's personal account, which makes the process of interacting with the assistant even more convenient.

It was previously reported that "Yandex" is actively working on creating a "reasoning" neural network, which is expected to be presented in 2025. The new artificial intelligence may find application in products such as "Search with Neuro" and "Alice."
