In the last five years, 50 passenger ships have been built, 16 of them in 2024. Currently, about 70 more pleasure, excursion, and high-speed ships are in operation. Many of them run on electric traction and are made of composite materials.

We are talking about motor ships for 180-300 passengers, paddle steamers for Nizhny Novgorod, and motor ships for cruises on the Yenisei River for 245 seats.

They are all as comfortable as foreign counterparts.
Anton Alikhanov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia

The Minister stressed that Russian shipbuilders are ready to assemble civilian vessels faster. And the state will support customers by extending the program of subsidizing loans for the purchase of passenger ships until the end of 2025.
