The plate withstood more than 20 hits from a NATO standard assault rifle chambered for .223. Not a single plate penetration was recorded.

Survivability tests are not provided for by any GOST standard. We specifically build a large margin of safety into personal protective equipment, as we carefully listen to the wishes of the military personnel for whom the body armor is the last line of defense. Moreover, we are constantly modernizing and improving products.

.308 armor-piercing cartridges also failed to seriously damage the product, with no through penetrations after five hits. A fragmentation grenade also did not penetrate the plate.

The "Obereg" weighs 11.7 kg, the chest armor plate provides Br5 protection class and consists of ceramic plates that dampen the kinetic energy of the bullet, as well as high molecular weight plastic.
