The head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, Yaroslav Nilov, has introduced a bill that obliges employers to compensate employees for the costs of using personal devices to perform their work tasks.
It is proposed to supplement the Labor Code with a provision under which employers will have to indicate in the employment contract the amount and procedure for compensating the employee's expenses when using personal equipment. The innovation is aimed at protecting the interests of employees who often face additional financial costs.
According to Nilov, the use of personal devices may entail various expenses, and the lack of a clear compensation system creates an additional financial burden for employees.
The purpose of this bill is to establish a legal framework for reimbursing expenses related to the use of personal equipment for official purposes.
