The Ministry of Digital Development will allocate over 3.4 billion rubles to equip automated workstations (AWS) for state and municipal authorities in the new regions — DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye, and Kherson regions.
The money will be used to purchase computers, monitors, and peripheral devices. 2.1 billion rubles will be allocated this year, and the remaining amount — in 2026.
Market experts are confident that the funds will be sufficient to provide equipment to all four regions. The cost of one AWS ranges from 70,000 to 100,000 rubles. This will allow the ministry to provide more than 40,000 automated workplaces at an average cost of 77,000 rubles per AWS.
According to Rosstat, the total number of civil servants in Russia is 2.2 million people. The number of officials in the new regions is unknown; such data is not publicly available.
