The average age of vessels is planned to be reduced to 15 years by 2030

The three-year budget of St. Petersburg, calculated until the end of 2027, includes the allocation of about 3 billion rubles for the modernization of the city's environmental protection fleet. This was announced by Governor Alexander Beglov at a meeting of the environmental council under the Governor of St. Petersburg.

Today, the environmental protection fleet of St. Petersburg has more than 150 vessels. These include: oil skimmers; tugs; boats for operational monitoring; icebreaker "Nevskaya Zastava".

By 2030, it is necessary to reduce the average age of vessels to 15 years. In the three-year budget we have adopted until the end of 2027, about 3 billion rubles are provided for the modernization of the environmental protection flotilla.

A modernization program has been developed to update the fleet. It focuses on replacing obsolete vessels, both physically and morally, as well as introducing modern technologies and mechanisms.
