Военный самолёт с морским якорем: полёт уникального гидроплана Бе-12 засняли на видео

Admiralty-type anchor is located in the navigator's cabin

A video of one of the rarest domestic aircraft in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Be-12 seaplane, flying over the Black Sea has appeared online.

The Be-12 is the only military aircraft in Russia equipped with a typically maritime attribute. A folding admiralty-type anchor weighing 19 kg is located in the navigator's cabin and, if necessary, is dropped through a hatch in the left side of the aircraft.

The seaplane's maritime equipment also includes a water rudder (behind the rear step), two floating anchors, an anchor winch, a line thrower, a spare anchor rope, a megaphone, and flags. Floating anchors are used to tow the aircraft by boat.

Mooring cleats for mooring vessels approaching the Be-12 are located near the right navigator's hatch. The compartments contain patches, manual pumps, and other equipment for patching holes and pumping out water.

According to open sources, the Russian Navy uses six Be-12PS aircraft. A total of 143 aircraft of this type were assembled in Taganrog between 1959 and 1973.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Forpost-RU drone will receive small-sized radars for guiding Kalibr missiles and loitering munitions.
