Kvadrа Company (part of the Rosatom Infrastructure Solutions division) has repaired and launched a General Electric (GE) LM6000 gas turbine at Voronezh CHPP-2, the state corporation's press service reported.
For the first time in Russia, a medium repair of a turbine of this class was carried out on its own, without the involvement of the manufacturer.
Russian companies became Kvadrа's technological partners. During the repair, they replaced or restored more than 500 parts and components.
Ksenia Sukhotina, General Director of Kvadrа, stated that Russian specialists are developing their competencies. The energy market has successfully adapted to the new conditions.
The American company General Electric suspended the maintenance of its turbines in Russia in June 2023. In addition, Russian Gas Turbines (a joint venture between GE and Inter RAO) refused to produce turbines under license.
