Rosatom has completed the creation of the only complete technological chain in Russia, the CIS countries, and Eastern Europe for the production of carbon fiber and products based on it.
Over the past seven years, we have made a breakthrough and caught up with world standards. Now we have a complete chain — from crude Russian oil to the MS-21 aircraft wing, a gas centrifuge for uranium enrichment, elements of spacecraft, and even sports equipment
In addition, in 2024, Rosatom scientists managed to develop carbon fiber with a strength of 7 gigapascals. Only three companies in the world demonstrate this level today — two Japanese and one American. The next stage is the industrial production of this fiber.
