Rosatom Creates Platform for Implementing Quantum Computing in Industry

The project will bring together leading companies and researchers for the practical application of quantum computing

The Rosatom State Corporation has launched a specialized platform that will bring together leading Russian companies, research groups, and independent researchers to work together on the application of quantum computers in industry.

Russian specialists have already achieved significant success in the development of quantum technologies, forming a scientific and technological community of more than a thousand people. Now it is planned to create a second core - focused on the practical application of quantum computing in the real sector of the economy.

Over the past five years, Russia has become one of the five countries with quantum computing platforms with more than 50 qubits. At the same time, Rosatom's strategy is aimed not only at the development of technologies, but also at their integration into industry;

Among the immediate steps are the holding of the international conference ICQT this summer, the opening of a quantum laboratory in the "Atom" pavilion in April, as well as the creation of a community of specialists interested in the practical application of quantum technologies.
