«Летающий» танк Т-80 выжил, наехав на четыре мины, и продолжил движение: знаменитая надёжность российской бронетехники

Instead of the damaged protection, the combat vehicle will be fitted with a new two-layer one

The Russian main battle tank T-80 has once again confirmed its high reliability characteristics on the line of combat contact. The military told how the combat vehicle remained intact after being blown up by four mines at once.

Was going in the first column. There was a mine trawl in front. Blew up on four mines. After that, it was attacked by a kamikaze UAV. We are now changing the "Mangal", because the previous one has become unusable.

Instead of the damaged protection, the T-80 will now be fitted with a two-layer one. The tank's engine power is 1,100 hp, and the gas turbine engine starts in any weather. As the tankers say, in half a click.

The T-80 tank is the only Russian tank with a gas turbine engine. The vehicle was adopted into service in 1976. In the West, the tank was nicknamed "flying" for its famous acceleration to 80 km/h.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the ship "Kabardino-Balkaria" with RBU-6000 rocket launcher and torpedoes destroyed targets in the Baltic.
