The Ministry of Finance has developed a bill aimed at simplifying the procedure for registering foreign companies with tax authorities. It is proposed to amend Articles 83 and 84 of Part 1 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.
According to the bill, companies will not have to submit an application and other documents to the tax authority when opening an account with a Russian bank. The application in electronic form will be submitted by the bank itself in which the account is opened.
The tax authority is obliged to register the company within five days after receiving the application from the bank. Within the same period, a certificate of a foreign organization will be sent in electronic form.
A representative of the Ministry of Finance said that the return of foreign companies from unfriendly countries to the Russian market can only be carried out if permission is obtained from the government commission on foreign investments.
