No Paper Contract Needed: Register a SIM Card with a Telecom Operator Now Possible on "Gosuslugi"

The contract can be concluded using a QR code

MegaFon has introduced an innovative service for its subscribers. They can conclude contracts for the provision of cellular services via a QR code in the Gosuslugi mobile application.

Users will need a verified account on Gosuslugi, as well as the Gosuslugi and Gosklyuch applications. The connection process takes place in a communication store but does not require a passport or the signing of a paper contract.

A MegaFon employee will create a QR code. The client will need to scan it in the Gosuslugi application. After agreeing to the processing of data, the client will see information about the operator and an offer to conclude a contract. They need to choose a tariff plan and inform the employee of their decision.

The data verification and contract registration procedure takes less than a minute. After that, the client signs the contract in the Gosklyuch application. Communication services are activated automatically. Information about the signing will be available in Gosuslugi.

Currently, the service is available in all MegaFon stores and will be offered to Yota subscribers in the future.
