The Central Bank is working with the authorities of Myanmar to increase the number of points accepting cards of the Russian payment system "Mir". This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the regulator, Alexei Guznov.
More than 60 terminals have already been opened. The issue of ATMs where Russian tourists could get cash is currently being discussed.
Myanmar is the 13th country where "Mir" cards are accepted. Currently, they can be used to pay for purchases in 67 trade organizations in major cities of the country. POS terminals will be installed in another 14 locations.
