Arctic UAV Test Center opened in Salekhard

A stationary and mobile platform for launching drones has appeared in Yamal

The Arctic Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Test Center with stationary and mobile sites has started operating in Salekhard. This was reported by the press service of the Governor of YNAO.

The center's infrastructure includes two sites:

  • "Obdorsk" — a modular building that houses drones and special equipment. Nearby is an apron with a taxiway and a take-off and landing area.
  • Mobile — based on two Burlaк all-terrain vehicles. With their help, you can quickly prepare a place for UAV take-off.

The authorities of Yamal have identified six points for deploying a mobile site: in the villages of Pelvozh, Katravozh, Harp, in the area of the Kharbey River, at the Payuta and Laborovaya trading posts.

The Arctic Test Center was created in six months. Companies conducting tests of unmanned aircraft systems in Arctic conditions will be based here.
