The Pacific Fleet's Project 20385 corvette "Gremyashchiy" practiced anti-submarine warfare tasks in the Avacha Bay. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
The ship maneuvered in the designated area, performing a set of submarine search techniques. Helicopter crews used a dipping sonar to detect the underwater object.
After the submarine was detected by a Ka-27PL helicopter, the corvette "Gremyashchiy" established contact and organized a pursuit, forcing the submarine to surface.
After the conditional violator failed to comply with the requirements, the corvette's crew practiced actions to destroy the submarine using mine-torpedo weapons.
