The Russian Navy will soon receive four more Project 22350 frigates of the Admiral Gorshkov type, according to the Chairman of the Marine Board, Nikolai Patrushev.
Patrushev noted that the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Isakov" was launched last year. It is a multi-purpose surface combat ship carrying high-precision long-range missile weapons, including hypersonic Tsirkon missiles.
Currently, the Russian Navy already has three ships of this project. Four more frigates are under construction and are at various stages of readiness.
According to him, the Russian Navy is currently being equipped with new ships and is successfully developing in accordance with the tasks set by the country's leadership.
Construction work is underway at many factories in the country, somewhere military vessels have been launched for completion, and somewhere the laying of ships has taken place.
Project 22350 ships are a series of Russian multi-purpose frigates of the far sea zone. This is the first major warship designed in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The frigate's armament includes launchers for Kalibr or Onyx anti-ship missiles, the Poliment-Redut anti-aircraft missile system, the Paket-NK anti-submarine torpedo complex, and an artillery mount. A Ka-27 helicopter can be based on the ship.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that rocket "Lightning" destroyed targets in the Sea of Japan with fire from AK-176 and AK-630 artillery.
