The Rostec State Corporation has presented a laser gyroscope unit manufactured by KRET. This device determines the change in angular orientation.
Currently, almost no aircraft can do without this unit. A laser gyroscope is much more sensitive than a mechanical one. The sample presented in the footage will be part of the equipment of the import-substituted SJ-100.
KRET is creating airborne inertial navigation systems (BINS) based on laser gyroscopes, which are necessary for modern aircraft.
Such BINS are replacing navigation systems based on "classic" mechanical gyroscopes, which do not meet modern requirements for readiness time, service life, reliability, and accuracy. Such equipment is either combined with satellite systems or replaces them.
