Российско-индийское предприятие по производству вертолетов Ка-226Т ждет заказы от силовых структур Индии

The countries plan to establish the production of armored vehicles, small arms and ammunition

The joint Russian-Indian venture for the production of light multi-purpose Ka-226T helicopters is awaiting orders from the national security agencies of India. This was announced by Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosenergoexport, at the international exhibition Aero India 2025 in Bangalore.

According to Mikheev, the main vector of partnership between Russia and India is shifting towards the joint development and production of not only aviation equipment, but also armored vehicles, small arms and ammunition.

It is worth noting that in 2023, negotiations on the production of Ka-226T helicopters were suspended. The reason for freezing the negotiations was an insufficient level of production localization, which did not suit the Russian side.

An agreement between Russia and India on cooperation in the field of helicopter construction was signed in 2015. The joint Russian-Indian venture included the "Russian Helicopters" holding, Rosoboronexport and the Indian corporation Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

Earlier www1.ru reported that Rostec will be able to create a drone based on any helicopter.
