"Russian Helicopters" Will Use Technical Solutions Implemented in BAS-200

Rostec has the technologies to create a drone based on any helicopter. This was stated by a representative of the National Helicopter Center named after Mil and Kamov (developer of BAS-200, part of the "Russian Helicopters" holding) at the "Arctic: Today and the Future" forum.

Technical solutions of the automatic control system and the avionics complex (airborne radio-electronic equipment) implemented by the "Russian Helicopters" holding on the BAS-200 can be used in the future when converting any helicopter from the company's lineup into a UAV.

According to a representative of the BAS-200 development company, relevant research is being conducted on an initiative basis.

The helicopter drone will be able to conduct ice reconnaissance or search for minerals on the shelf. BAS-200 has already been tested beyond the Arctic Circle.
