During a working trip to St. Petersburg, the Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, visited industrial enterprises of the city. Among them were the "Geoscan" drone production plant, as well as the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant (JSC "PTZ"), the press service of the department reported.
Alikhanov was shown the stages of development and production of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) using the "Geoscan 801" as an example. This is the first serial compact quadcopter for video monitoring.
The Minister inspected the Flight Control Center for small spacecraft, where he got acquainted with the "cubesat" standard nanosatellite platforms (dimensions 10×10×10 cm with a weight of no more than 1.33 kg) developed by "Geoscan".
Spacecraft of this type can be used for:
- training in satellite design, programming and assembly
- radio communication sessions
- flight tests of onboard systems and instruments in near-Earth orbit
- conducting scientific experiments

Then Alikhanov went to the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, which produces agricultural, construction and road equipment. In 2024, the company produced the "Kirovets K-714" grader and the "Kirovets K-100" agricultural combine.
Currently, JSC "PTZ" serially produces several models of agricultural tractors:
- K-7M (with a capacity of 350 to 460 hp)
- K-5 (with a capacity of 250 hp)
- K-530 (with a capacity of up to 300 hp)
- 17 types of road construction and special machines based on "Kirovets" industrial tractors
The Minister inspected one of the tractors and sat in its cabin.
