In Moscow and St. Petersburg, the "check" indicator lights up in Chinese cars due to abnormally high atmospheric pressure.
The pressure sensor helps the engine management system adjust operation during changes in altitude and atmospheric pressure, which is especially important for turbocharged engines with direct fuel injection. Exceeding the norm can cause a failure that will disappear when the pressure decreases.
Experts have determined that the atmospheric-barometric pressure sensor is "overloaded" due to the increased reading — 786 mm Hg instead of the usual 760 mm.
A resident of St. Petersburg said that his all-wheel drive Haval Jolion began to show a turbine pressure sensor error. According to him, one dealer alone received more than 60 calls about this problem. A car repair shop in Yuntolovo confirmed that on Saturday, February 8, two Haval Jolion owners contacted them with complaints about a similar malfunction.
The Avtopole dealership reported that owners of Changan and JAC cars faced the same error.
Similar cases are also noted in Moscow, where Chinese cars are massively "failing" due to record atmospheric pressure. Experts are confident that the error will disappear as weather conditions normalize.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that record high atmospheric pressure was recorded in Moscow.
