The latest multiple launch rocket system with sniper properties, the Tornado-S, has entered service with the Russian military. The complex has become the next stage in the development of the Smerch multiple launch rocket system, the Ministry of Defense said.
The Tornado-S differs from its predecessor in its increased firing range - more than 100 km, and a larger area of destruction - 12 football fields.
The missiles are guided by a satellite system, and a reconnaissance drone coordinates them in the final section of the flight. The firing parameters are calculated automatically, so the installation is aimed in a few minutes.
The machine is new, it's a pleasure to work with it. The process is automated and accelerated. It allows you to save the lives and health of personnel, as well as equipment.
Due to the accuracy of the strikes, the Tornado-S consumes less ammunition compared to other multiple launch rocket systems.
Earlierwww1.ru reported thata unique Sarych-2 reconnaissance drone with its own protection against electronic warfare and an HD camera has entered the military.
