Wildberries is launching a new feature: you can now book medicines using the Click&Collect service and pick them up at the pharmacy. Initially, the service will be available in some districts of Moscow, but over time it will cover other cities in Russia as well.
Thanks to the service, customers will be able to order all types of medicines through the online platform and pick them up at one of the nearest partner pharmacies.
The first partner in the test launch will be the online pharmacy POLZA.ru, which is part of the PULSE pharmaceutical distributor group of companies. This company delivers medicines to every pharmacy throughout Russia.
As part of the cooperation with the pharmacy retailer, a separate subcategory of goods will appear on the platform — prescription drugs. Wildberries will act as an online showcase, directly connecting the seller and the buyer. It will be possible to book the necessary product on the platform. And the distributor will take over the storage, assembly and delivery of the order to the partner pharmacy, where the client will be able to pay for it at the checkout.
To use the service, you need to select the desired medication on the Wildberries website and add it to the cart.
On a special map, the user can choose a convenient pharmacy that presents all the drugs from the order. Also at this stage, you can specify the opening hours of pharmacies and the shelf life of goods.
If a customer orders prescription drugs, they must present a prescription from their doctor to the pharmacist. Otherwise, the pharmacy will be forced to refuse to issue the goods.
Only post-payment is provided for this category of products. Payment is made at the pharmacy checkouts after delivery of the goods and verification by the buyer. The marketplace plans to introduce a prepaid payment system when new retailers with other categories of goods are connected to the project.
Earlier, Wildberries began testing another new feature in its application: now customers can leave tips to both managers of order pick-up points and couriers. The maximum tip amount is 1000 rubles. At the moment, this feature is only available to some users.
