The company "Dronko" will produce internal combustion engines (ICE) for UAVs at "Technopark St. Petersburg". The production site will be based on the Scientific and Production Center (SPC) of UAS, said Oleg Yakimov, director of the technology park.
The company "Dronko" received a grant of 300 million rubles from the National Technology Initiative Fund for the implementation of the project.
The SPC UAS of St. Petersburg employs 54 residents from 7 regions of the country. These are developers and manufacturers of parts and electronics for UAVs.
The management of "Technopark St. Petersburg" also plans to create a full-fledged infrastructure for the serial production of drones, including a test site. Negotiations are currently underway with the "Levashovo" airfield, located in the Vyborgsky district.
