The Russian medium-range missile system \"Oreshnik\" is capable of overcoming any modern missile defense system (ABM), including the promising American \"Iron Dome.\" This was stated by military expert, former Head of the Anti-Aircraft Missile Forces (SAM) of the Air Force Special Purpose Command, Sergei Khatylev.
According to him, the combat units of \"Oreshnik\" have pre-designated aiming points. Therefore, they can hit any object, as they fly along a variable trajectory.
Our missiles are launched not only from ground ranges. There are also sea-based missiles, as well as those located on strategic bombers. If Russia uses these weapons in a hypothetical conflict with the United States, the probability that they will be shot down is no more than 50%.
Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that the combat units of \"Oreshnik\" attack targets at a speed of up to 10 Mach or about 3 km/s at a range of up to 5500 km, and Western missile defense systems do not have the ability to intercept them.
