The Russian fifth-generation multirole fighter Su-57 surpasses the American F-22 Raptor and F-35 Lightning II in maneuverability and radar range. This was stated by retired Major General, military pilot Vladimir Popov.
The Su-57 significantly surpasses the F-22 and F-35 in maneuverability. This is the most important indicator if it comes to close air combat within 30–50 km or less. The Su-57 wins here. These calculations were made by the Americans themselves.
According to Popov, the Su-57 is also much better than American aircraft in terms of "price-quality" ratio. At the same time, he noted that the Su-57 still needs work, in particular, to improve the engines.
The Su-57's sighting and navigation equipment is comparable to the F-22 and F-35. The technologies used in the Russian fighter still surpass American competitors in terms of target detection range by 50–80 km.
The Su-57 has internal armament, supersonic cruising speed, radio-absorbing coating (stealth technology), as well as the latest complex of onboard equipment.
