The crews of Su-33 and Su-30SM fighters of the shipborne fighter aviation regiment of the mixed aviation corps of the Northern Fleet conducted training flights over the Kola Peninsula and the Barents Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The combat aircraft practiced elements of aerial combat with a mock enemy aircraft, the role of which was played by one of the fighters of the aviation association.
The fighters, acting in pairs, performed offensive and defensive maneuvers. A special feature of the flights was the practice of pilots' actions to conditionally destroy low-flying aerial targets of aircraft and quadcopter types.
