Rosatom has updated the control and management systems at power unit No. 5 of the Leningrad NPP. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The tests carried out, including the final fault tolerance control, confirmed the reliability of the updated system. The transition to a duplicated main bus is an important step in the development of control systems for Russian nuclear power plants.
Specialists carried out a comprehensive modernization of the station's hardware and software. This made it possible to increase the reliability and fault tolerance of systems.
The new EN bus configuration, called EN-2, reduces the likelihood of system failures due to redundancy. It ensures continuous data transmission and rapid recovery.
This project was implemented in Russia for the first time. The modernization of the control system for power unit No. 5 of the Leningrad NPP opens up new opportunities for the introduction of similar solutions at other Russian nuclear power plants.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Rosatom completed the concreting of the foundations of the main buildings of the seventh block of the Leningrad NPP.
