Russian military personnel have significantly increased the range of FPV drones using a repeater installed on a reconnaissance drone. This was reported by Stas, a technician of the Merlin-VR drone unit.
He noted that drone repeaters have been in use for about a month. With their help, the units have already carried out combat missions with target engagement.
Our units have installed a repeater on the Merlin-VR complex. Now we fly high enough and can provide the ability to work for other drones, such as FPV drones. We give them the opportunity to fly further and perform their combat mission.
The military man added that the Merlin-VR is capable of flying 100 km. The devices were equipped with a modified Kometa navigation system capable of withstanding powerful electronic warfare systems.
Earlier www1.ru reported that two Tu-160 "White Swan" missile carriers flew over the Arctic Ocean.
