«ТерраТех» сформирует сеть из 132 спутников для глобального мониторинга Земли

100 Neural Networks Will Be Used for Data Analysis and Processing

TerraTech is actively developing the Gryphon project, a global Earth monitoring system comprising 132 satellites. Key objectives include daily data updates by 2027, the creation of an autonomous infrastructure, and scaling the Earth remote sensing (ERS) market.

TerraTech has signed a contract to develop the Gryphon system, which will become part of the federal project "Sphere." In the first phase, 44 satellites will be launched, ensuring data updates for the entire territory of Russia at least once a week. After full deployment in 2027, the constellation of 132 satellites will provide daily information updates. Satellite management will be highly automated, including the use of 100 neural networks for data analysis and processing.

The launch of the first four experimental satellites will begin in 2025. The Gryphon's ground infrastructure includes stations with antennas of 2.5-3.5 meters in diameter, reducing operating costs. A unique feature of the system will be the ability to redistribute tasks in the event of partial satellite loss.

The Gryphon system is built on the Digital Earth platform, which has already accumulated significant data processing experience. In 2024, the platform processed over 500 million square kilometers of data and served 5,000 orders from 2,000 users. The development of this area by 2026 is planned against the backdrop of the transition to paid ERS services, which will create a market worth hundreds of billions of rubles.

CEO Igor Bevzyuk emphasized the importance of new legislative initiatives and public-private partnerships, which will help recoup significant investments. For 2025, the company aims not only to maintain the pace but also to complete key stages in the production of satellites and ground infrastructure in order to change the ERS market by 2027.
