At the end of 2024, Russians spent 19.7% more on the purchase of winter and all-season tires compared to the same period in 2023. This was reported by the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT, "Honest Sign").
The sales leader was the Nordman brand (19.2% of all tires sold). In second place is Cordiant with a share of 10.4%, followed by Kama (5.5%), Pirelli (5.1%) and Formula (4.8%).
Studded tires were sold the most – 53% of the total volume, non-studded – 36%, all-season – 11%.
According to Maxim Kadakov, editor of Za Rulem magazine, the cost of car tires will continue to rise in 2025, even if the car market falls.
Some tires still have an imported component, raw materials are becoming more expensive, and labor is becoming more expensive.
