Россияне сталкиваются с массовыми доначислениями за параллельный импорт автомобилей

Federal Customs Service Demands Surcharges of up to 400 Thousand Rubles Due to Understated Invoices

Mass cancellation of registration of cars imported through parallel imports has begun in Russia. It affects car owners for whom the cost of cars was underestimated in invoices, which made it possible to reduce customs duties and VAT.

The Federal Customs Service (FCS) has begun demanding surcharges from car owners, which can amount to hundreds of thousands of rubles. The problem has affected thousands of car owners across the country, and many of them have unexpectedly found themselves in debt.

The problem arose due to the fact that when registering at the border, many cars were cleared at an underestimated cost.

The FCS has begun actively checking all such documents, which has led to additional charges ranging from 300 to 400 thousand rubles. In case of non-payment, the electronic vehicle passport (EPTS) may be canceled.

Owners of such cars risk losing their car. Even if the car is already registered, the recycling fee may be recalculated for the buyer during the inspection process.

Earlier www1.ru reported that customs authorities are making demands for additional payments for cheap cars.
