Cheap UAV Diverts Attention of Air Defense Systems

Footage of the Russian plywood drone "Gerbera" has appeared online. The drone is equipped with a camera and modem for transmitting video to the operator, and can act as a decoy, thereby diverting the operation of enemy air defense (AD) systems.

The "Gerbera" can be used not only in a strike version, but also as a reconnaissance drone.

The tactical and technical characteristics of the drones are currently unknown. Media reported that the "Gerbera" can connect to their local 4G networks and transmit the necessary data to the drone operator.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the newest drone positioning technology has been developed for the Russian army.
