Russia is actively updating its fishing fleet. Construction is underway at shipyards in all regions of the country, from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, under the technical supervision of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS).
In 2024, 16 fishing vessels were built under the technical supervision of RS specialists:
- Trawler "Captain Martynov" (project ST-192)
- Medium-sized freezer fishing trawlers "Orion" and "Lev" (project 1701)
- Lead fishing trawler of project 03095 "Valentin Manturov"
- Lead crab catching vessel of project CCa 5712LS "Sergey Prikhodko"
- Crab processor "Captain Manzholin" (project CCa5712P)
- Crab catchers "Puma", "Andrey Basargin" (project 03141)
- Lead crab catching vessel of project 03142 "Nugget"
- Small fishing seiners "Apacha", "Sokoch", "Karaga" (project 04130)
The RS press service stated that in 2024, 10 fishing vessels were launched and 17 were laid down at the country's shipbuilding enterprises.
As of the beginning of 2025, 74 fishing vessels are at various stages of construction under the technical supervision of RS.
The largest of the vessels under construction is the trawler "Viktor Gavrilov" (project 5670FT).
