Shipbuilders of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) are building a dock pontoon (project 65911 "Amurets") in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The dock pontoon is needed to transport ships from dry factory slipways to the outfitting pier and further launching. This was reported by the press service of the enterprise.
Before the onset of cold weather, welders welded the mounting joints of the first three blocks, and completed assembly on the fourth. Further welding work on the dock pontoon will resume in March.
The fifth block was assembled in the building dock. At the same time, the factory workers are forming the sixth, seventh and eighth blocks.
Workers of the paint and rubberizing shop are painting the bottom and side sections of the seventh and eighth blocks. They will be transferred to the slipway for assembly by the end of February.
By mid-March, the following systems will be installed on these blocks:
- ballast system;
- ballast compartment purging system;
- ballast compartment pressure measurement system;
- air measuring pipe system
About the launching dock pontoon
