Prices for new SWM crossovers in Russia have collapsed

In January 2025, the Chinese company SWM reduced prices for all three models presented in Russia. The cost decreased by an amount from 458,500 rubles to 866,500 rubles — up to 34.1% of the previous price tags.

Depending on the configuration, the cost of the SWM G01 crossover, which is assembled at the Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad, decreased by 22.5–26.3%. Now its price varies from 1,783,000 to 2,000,000 rubles.

The SWM G01 is comparable in size to the Kia Sportage. Dimensions of the SWM G01: 4610 x 1855 x 1725 mm, and the wheelbase is 2750 mm. Under the hood is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a turbocharger with a capacity of 139 hp. It is paired with a 7-speed robotic gearbox. The drive is only front-wheel drive.

The price of the G01F crossover fell by 458,500–764,400 rubles — from 17.2% to 31.4%. Now it can be purchased at a price of 1,673,000 to 2,207,000 rubles.

SWM G01F cars are also produced at the Kaliningrad plant. They are equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 156 horsepower and a 6-speed robotic gearbox.

The car is equipped with climate and cruise control, a surround view system, heated and ventilated front seats, as well as a panoramic roof. In terms of its dimensions (4610 x 1855 x 1725 mm with a wheelbase of 2750 mm), the SWM G01F is comparable to the Nissan X-Trail.

The SWM G05 Pro crossover has also become more affordable for buyers: its cost has decreased by 28–34.1% and now ranges from 1,580,000 to 1,937,000 rubles.

The family G05 Pro is a five-seater or seven-seater crossover. The car is also equipped with a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine and a robotic gearbox. The highlight of the car is a panoramic roof with a sunroof of one square meter.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia included cars of foreign brands in the list of government purchases for officials. The updated list includes the Chinese brand with Italian roots SWM — models G05 Pro and G01.
