The used car market in Russia reached record levels in 2024 for the last ten years.
According to the Autostat agency, 6.04 million passenger cars were sold during the year, which is 6% more than in 2023. This result was the best since the previous record in 2014, when sales reached 6.1 million cars.
The main driver of growth remains the domestic brand Lada, which accounted for almost 25% of total sales - 1.5 million cars.
Among other popular brands in the secondary market, Toyota leads with a result of 619.5 thousand units, followed by Kia (349.5 thousand), Hyundai (332.2 thousand). Nissan closes the top five (282.7 thousand).
The most popular model in the used car market was Lada 2107, which sold 139.1 thousand cars (sales growth - 42.5%). Kia Rio took second place with a result of 124.7 thousand, and Lada 2114 "Samara-2" took third place with 122.7 thousand.
