The Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad has launched production of the BAIC model, the BJ60 frame SUV. To produce the car, new tooling was developed and manufactured, additional line sections were equipped, and the software was reconfigured.
BAIC BJ60 is an SUV with a wheelbase of 2820 mm and dimensions of 5040 mm x 1955 mm x 1925 mm. Thus, the model is commensurate with the Land Cruiser Prado.
The first BAIC BJ60 cars were equipped with 2.0-liter diesel engines with 163 hp, 10-kilowatt starter-generators, front and rear inter-wheel differential locks, part-time all-wheel drive systems with a downshift and 8-speed classic automatic transmissions.
It is not yet known exactly when the BAIC BJ60 will go on sale. The approximate price is about five million rubles.
