The cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" has been under repair since 1999. The main result of the cruiser's modernization will be an increase in strike power.
The head of the "Sevmash" enterprise, Mikhail Budnichenko, stated that new innovative and technological solutions were being implemented in the process of modernizing the "Admiral Nakhimov". On all issues, there was constant interaction between the Navy command and "Sevmash" and the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
The timing of the return to service of the aircraft carrier project 1143.7 "Admiral Kuznetsov" is currently uncertain. It was assumed that the modernization of the flagship of the Russian Navy would be completed in 2024, but no information on the completion of the work has yet been received.
The cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov" has been undergoing repairs and modernization since 2017 at the 35th Ship Repair Plant of the "Zvezdochka" Ship Repair Center, which is part of the USC). The deadline for commissioning is at the end of 2024, but the work has not been completed so far.
