The Cheboksary Aggregate Plant (ChZSA) has developed and delivered to Naberezhnye Chelny the first tandem axle for the production of new KamAZ logging equipment. This was announced by the head of Chuvashia, Oleg Nikolaev.
The tandem axle is completely unique and currently has no Russian-made analogues.
Nikolaev clarified that work on the project began in 2023 after ChZSA demonstrated its production capabilities to representatives of KamAZ. In 2024, the companies signed an agreement for the development and manufacture of the axle.
The plant's designers spent six months creating technical documentation and assembling the unit. The axle has now been sent to the customer for operational testing.
This is an important event for the republic in the context of import substitution and the development of cooperation between ChZSA and the industry leader in the production of trucks and special equipment.
