The Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia has launched a new probation service on the "Gosuslugi" portal. From January 1, 2025, convicted and released citizens will be able to receive support and assistance in social adaptation. This will help people serving sentences, as well as those who have been released from prison.
The service is available to citizens registered with criminal executive inspectorates, as well as those serving sentences in the form of forced labor. They can apply for probation through the portal. This service is also available to those released from prison. A new form of probation has been introduced - post-penitentiary, which will help people facing difficulties after leaving prison.
After submitting an application, an individual program will be developed, which includes the restoration of social connections, consultations on legal and social issues, as well as assistance in psychology and medicine. Assistance is also provided in the preparation of documents, obtaining education, employment, unemployment benefits, pensions and social assistance. An application can be submitted through the "Gosuslugi" portal or on the Federal Penitentiary Service website.
