Shipbuilders have begun mooring trials of the chemical tanker "Volgotrans-2502" (project RST 25/7) at the "Lotos" production site of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center in the Astrakhan region. This was reported by the USC press service.
"Volgotrans-2502" is being built by order of the "Mashpromleasing" enterprise.
About the RST 25/7 project
The main engines have been started on the tanker, commissioning works have been carried out on anchor-mooring winches, hydraulic stations for lifting masts and cargo devices. Preparatory work is underway to launch the ship's substation as part of auxiliary and emergency diesel generators.
The tanker is equipped with six cargo tanks. The vessel is designed for the transportation of crude oil and petroleum products, as well as vegetable oils and chemical cargoes.
