ZU-23-2 have undergone a major upgrade, and have gained the ability to engage ground targets and unmanned aerial vehicles at any time of the day or night thanks to the thermal imager.
All-weather use is possible thanks to the installed optoelectronic unit with a thermal imager and television camera. Tests have confirmed that all specified characteristics fully meet the requirements of modern combat.
