If you've noticed that your device is running slower than usual or unknown programs have appeared on it, this may be a sign of a virus. This was reported by Ruslan Permyakov, Deputy Director of the Center for Competencies of the National Technology Initiative "Technologies of Trusted Interaction" based at the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics.
Consult a specialist if you suspect a system infection, and monitor any changes in the device's operation: slow performance, unknown programs may become symptoms of viruses.
According to Permyakov, if there is a threat of system infection, it is necessary to check that the antivirus program is installed in the latest version and run it to scan the system.
It is also important to ensure that all available system and software updates are installed on your device. If you suspect a possible information leak, it is recommended to seek advice from an information security expert.
As a reminder, experts also advise disconnecting your smartphone from the network after clicking on a suspicious link to reduce the risk of data theft. During the New Year holidays, phishing, which involves sending malicious links via messengers and email, remains one of the most popular ways to steal money and confidential information.
