LPR Rejects Ukrainian Satellites in Favor of "Russian World" Satellite Television

Old equipment replaced with new equipment for free

In the Lugansk People's Republic, more than 10,000 residents have abandoned Ukrainian satellite antennas in favor of "Russian World" satellite television sets. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Digital Development of the republic, Andrey Ershov.

"Russian World" launched a campaign with free exchange of old unlicensed equipment for new "Russian World" equipment sets. We expect that the project will continue its activities next year, as its main goal is to eliminate the digital divide in terms of access to high-quality Russian television content.

In 2024, specialists installed about 14,000 "Russian World" sets in municipalities and replaced outdated Ukrainian antennas. Ershov noted that all residents who received new equipment will be able to use it for free until the end of 2026.

The "Russian World" project aims to provide LPR residents with access to Russian TV channels in high quality. Equipment installation and maintenance are provided free of charge.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that high-speed internet will appear in all villages of the LPR with a population of 100 people or more.
