On January 6, 2025, home internet users in Moscow, the Moscow region, Kirov, Tver, Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod regions, and other regions of Russia faced problems accessing various Internet services, including social networks, search engines, gaming platforms, Google resources, communication operator accounts, and banking platforms.
The largest number of complaints came from MGTS and MTS users, as well as from clients of small providers working through these companies.
According to the information from the Monitoring Center and Management of the Public Communication Network (TsMU SSOP) of the "Main Radio Frequency Center" (GRChTs), which is part of the structure of Roskomnadzor, users reported problems accessing MGTS and MTS resources.
The failure occurred at 12:00 Moscow time and lasted about two hours. Access to services is currently being gradually restored.
