In 2024, the Space Forces (SF) of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia conducted more than 450,000 sessions of spacecraft control. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
As part of the combat duty tasks, the military also carried out more than 120,000 sessions ensuring the control of spacecraft.
It is worth recalling that one of the key tasks of the Space Forces of the VKS is to launch spacecraft into orbit, control satellite systems for military and dual purposes in flight, and use these systems to provide troops with the necessary information.
