In 2024, the Russian army could have received up to 80 of the newest T-90M "Proryv" tanks. This conclusion was reached by experts from Defence24.
According to their estimates, Uralvagonzavod (part of Rostec) could have also delivered about 200 T-72B and T-72B1 tanks, modernized to T-72B3, to the Russian Armed Forces last year.
The T-90M "Proryv" tank is the most advanced vehicle in the T-90 family, the most adapted to operations in modern combat conditions, including thanks to the modern all-weather highly automated fire control system and the presence of all-round protection.
The vehicle received a fundamentally new turret that differs from the serial version and a more powerful engine. The "Proryv" is equipped with a 125-mm tank gun, which allows destroying enemy tanks at a range of up to 5 km. The new multi-channel sight ensures the use of weapons at any time of the day.
One of the main features of the modernized tank is the ability to exchange data with other vehicles in real time.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces received a new Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft.
