Russian nuclear power plants on December 29, 2024 (branches of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom", Rosatom's Electric Power Division) ahead of schedule fulfilled the annual state task of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia for electricity generation in the amount of 214.033 billion kWh and switched to exceeding the planned indicators.
Rosatom emphasized that this was the result of effective teamwork of Russian specialists in the field of nuclear energy, as well as optimization of the repair campaign by 157 days thanks to the use of the company's production system tools.
This year, as in previous years, we have something to be proud of. Key state tasks for electricity generation have been completed. In addition, in 2024, a number of important works were carried out as part of the construction of new power units at the sites of Kursk NPP-2, Leningrad NPP and Smolensk NPP-2 to ensure a systematic increase in the share of nuclear energy in Russia's energy balance to 25% by 2045.
In addition, in 2024, the concern expanded the range of isotopic products widely used in industry, medicine and solving a number of environmental problems.
